FAQs

We get asked loads of questions, and we don’t mind answering them. Here’s a few of the most common ones, and our best answers (listed in order of importance).

Nearest Pub?

That’s the Black Horse at Telham. Out our entrance gate, turn left, 100m on your right.

Best Chippy?

Something like this is totally subjective. There is a chippy in Battle, and one on the Battle Road in Hastings (Hollington Fish and Chips). These are all good, however, our personal favourite is The Catch, ran by a couple of young locals at 211a Bexhill Rd, Saint Leonards-on-sea TN38 8BH. Grab your chips, then drive the short distance to the Marina Car Park, and eat on the beach 👍

Electric Hookups?

Currently, no. We do plan on installing electric. 2023 is our first year, and we’re testing the water.

Showers?

No. For the same reason as above. However, Hastings and Bexhill have a range of swimming pools available, should you wish to use their facilities.

Toilets?

Yes, we have toilets on site. These are portaloo style toilets.

Dogs Allowed?

No. Due to us being a smallholding, and having poultry and waterfowl, no dogs are allowed on site, at any time.

Open Fires?

Currently, just in fire pits. Either bring your own, or hire one of ours. We have firewood you can buy.

Rubbish Disposal?

Yes, we have wheelie bins. Please bag your rubbish, before disposal.

Grey Water disposal?

Keep watching for updates. It’s in the plans, and will be built soon!

Is there a pylon on site?

Yes, we have a high voltage pylon and overhead cables on site. No camping is allowed under them, or around them.

Can we camp under the Pylon?

No.

Are you next to the main road?

Yes, the campsite runs alongside the A2100. This road can be busy during the day, but quietens down at nighttime. There is a thick hedge between the road and the campsite.
