Hastings Campsite

Our Hastings Campsite at Hastings 1066 is open from Spring to Autumn each year. Bring your own tent, pitch up, and enjoy the Sussex weather.

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE A TENT ONLY SITE. NO CAMPER VANS, NO CARAVANS.

Based on the smallholding of 4 Acre Farm, on the main A2100 Hastings Road, at Telham, come and join us for a convenient stay. The smallholding is home to chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, numerous bee hives and 2 horses, which are all kept clear of the camping field.

We have composting toilets on site, and areas for cooking. Fresh running water is readily available.

We don’t allow fires on the ground, but you can hire a fire pit and sing around the campfire that way. We can supply all the logs and kindling needed from our honesty shop that also stocks a selection of essentials and food produced on our own small holding (currently closed but wood and logs still available).

There are just 5 grass pitches available to hire on our 2 acre site. Each pitch is 10m x 10m, and is supplied empty, as a grass pitch.

Bring your own tent, and pitch up on our Hastings campsite, with easy access to both Battle and Hastings and so much to explore.

Currently, all our Hastings campsite pitches are non-electric. We hope to have electric in by the end of 2025. However, there are various options around the site for plugging in and charging up devices via a USB port.

No dogs are allowed on site. This does include small, well-behaved dogs who have never done anything wrong. Due to having poultry and waterfowl on site, we don’t allow any dogs at all on site.

The site is adults only (16+). All guests must be at least the age of 16. We do not allow children on the campsite.

Cars are parked in the parking area, but you’re never more than 120m from your pitch. Most campsite pitches are within 50m of the car park.

Pitches are separated by a variety of planting that includes hedging plants, grasses, fruit bushes and trees.

Finding Hastings Campsite

We are very easy to locate. We are on the main A2100 between Hastings and Battle.

If you’re coming from Hastings, head out on the A2100 Battle road. Go straight over the Bannatynes roundabout, towards Battle. After about ¾ of a mile, you’ll see the Citroen dealership on your right, and a massive pylon on your left. Our entrance gate is on the left, by the pylon. We have some signs that say “Camping Glamping” by the entrance. If you go as far as the Black Horse Pub, you’ve gone slightly too far, and need to turn around.

If coming from Battle, go on the A2100 towards Hastings. As you come into the hamlet of Telham, you’ll see the Black Horse pub on your left. About 100m after this, our entrance is on the right. Look for the big pylon, and our roadside signs.

Campsite now closed until March 2024!
